I thought you might enjoy the progression of a recent commission I completed for the Avera Merrill Pioneer Hospital in Rock Rapids, Iowa. It is a 9 panel watercolor painting using one of my favorite floral subjects, the “Coneflower.” Each panel is painted separately but displayed side-by-side allowing a complete image. Notice how the layers of paint change the intensity of the painting.
The painting has been installed in the lobby of the new hospital that just recently opened to the public.
