Wishing for Spring : EVERYTHING WATERCOLORS

Wishing for Spring

by Pam Harp on 02/04/16

This painting came to life while a blizzard was roaring outside this past week. Spring was in the air on my paint pallet and paper.

Detailed drawing lightly sketched on Arches 140# Watercolor paper. I started painting the blooms first.

Once I have the blooms all finished, it's time to start on the leaves.

Finally, the background is added. This piece was finished by attaching it to a cradled hardboard panel, then varnished so that it can be displayed without glass. Now I have a touch of color in my home until the Spring bulbs bloom in my garden.
